Bangladesh highly vulnerable to natural hazards. The coastal morphology of
Bangladesh influences the impact of natural hazards on the area. Bangladesh
suffers from floods, cyclones, thunder shower, cold wave, storm surge, river
bank erosion, earthquake, landslide, drought, heavy rain, salinity intrusion,
fire and tsunami. All the disasters cause massive damages.

PALM

Every year hundreds of people in Bangladesh are killed by lightning, more than by floods or Cyclones. As the climate warms, lightning strikes are happening more frequently – but palm trees help keep people safe. Engineer Moqbul Foundation (EMF) intends to implement PALM TEREE PROJECTS in Thunder storm prone areas in collaboration with relevant organizations.
